Services are provided by more than 3,500 paramedics and volunteers from more than 200 locations across the state and include first responder services, road ambulance, aeromedical and adult retrieval services.

All of the service’s operational members are trained in the management of asthma and carry oxygen and drugs to effectively treat cases that range from mild to life threatening. In addition to these skills, some ambulances are crewed by Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) Paramedics who carry additional drugs for the treatment of life-threatening asthma and are trained in advanced airway management techniques.
